From August 1st to September 1st, 2024, the Silesian Library will be closed (the main building at the Plac Rady Europy 1, in Katowice) due to the reinstallation of the system (the Integro library catalogue) and the maintenance works on the automatic storage.
- During the period mentioned above, orders and book rentals will not be carried out. The deadline for returning materials borrowed in July will be extended to September.
- Returns of books can be carried out on a regular basis, using the drop box. Returns will be registered in the reader’s account only after the system has been completely reinstalled.
- Orders sent to the book-o-mat can be received until July 31st, 2024 (the last orders can be sent until July 29th, 2024).
- Circulation cards will be confirmed after a complete reinstallation of the system, from Monday to Friday 8.00 am – 2.00 pm – library entrance from Damrota Street (contact at the security desk / consierge).
Two other branches of the Library will also be closed:
- 15th July – 15th August 2024 – the Silesian Library House of Education at Francuska 12 in Katowice,
- 1st August – 1st September 2024 – Bibliotherapeutic Department at Ligonia 7 in Katowice.
