Reviewers Guidelines

Papers submitted to the journal ”Książnica Śląska” are reviewed under the rules which are in force for scholarly journals and directions of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in Poland.

  1. The editors select two independent reviewers outside the institution with which the editor-in-chief is associated.
  2. Authors and reviewers do not know each other identities and must strictly observe the confidentiality principle throughout the text evaluation process.
  3. After submitting the review into the review form, the editors decide on whether to accept the text for publishing or re-send it to the Author (to introduce the amendments), or reject the paper.
  4. The names of the reviewers for single issues are unrevealed. The list of the peer-reviewers cooperating with the Journal is available once a year.

The evaluation criteria for the texts are:

  1. Compatibility of the title with the content of the article.
  2. The originality of the approach to the topic against the background of the state of research.
  3. Purposefulness of undertaking a research problem.
  4. Appropriateness of the methodology and how it is used.
  5. Knowledge of the current state of research.
